4+4 DAYS IN MOTION
This visual concert by composer Ingvild Langgård and scenographer Signe Becker may be viewed as a music installation or as an artistic ceremony during which the past is transformed into the present. The work reflects on subjectivity in the perception of history, whose actual proportions and phases we cannot see, and disputes the patriarchal social system. What if patriarchy is only a brief insertion within a more broadly defined, otherwise organized history? Signe Becker is the scenographer for the Verk Produksjoner theatre group and, in 2015, represented Norway at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space. Ingvild Langgard is a composer and artist. Using the name Phaedra, she has released two albums under the Norwegian avant-garde Rune Grammofon label.

They find inspiration in mythological tales of rebirth, such as the one about a woman who collected old bones and brought them back to life with her singing. In the logic of dreams, the magic of theatre, the vibrations of the music, and symbolic gestures, Langgård and Becker discover a way in which to lead the audience to a new way of perceiving and thinking about things, as well as a way of inspiring them and opening new possibilities for projecting the future.
