He is an artist of many talents, most known for being the leader of the Irish rock band The Frames and his collaboration with singer/songwriter Markéta Irglová, with whom he formed the duo Swell Season and won an Academy Award for Best Original Song. For the autumn tour, he will be accompanied by nine musicians playing a colourful variety of instruments, including strings and wind instruments. Furthermore, a very special guest will be joining the band – Javier Mas, the world famous Spanish guitarist playing with Leonard Cohen during the last decade of his musical career.

Glen Hansard has not only been touring with his own album, but he has also in the meantime embarked on a tour with Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam). At the beginning of July, they were invited to perform together as special guests at The Who’s anniversary show at the Wembley Stadium. Hansard will also soon perform in Dublin, his city of origin, where he will share the stage at Nowlan Park with his role models Neil Young and Bob Dylan.

Simply put, Hansard’s magical music ride is far from being over and his fans in the Czech Republic can look forward to his concert on November 18th, at the Archa Theater in Prague.
