The music of the New York avant-garde.   

The works of composers Steve Reich and Elliot Sharp are played by the Fama Q string quartet and Štěpán Filípek (cello), Jana Havláková (violin), Michal Nejtek (piano), Martin Debřička (sax), Michal Wróblewski (sax) and Štěpán Janoušek (trombone).   

On the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on New York City, the Archa Theatre and the Music in Context project present a concert of works by composers who are central to the New York avant-garde music scene. The Czech premiere will feature Steve Reich's WTC 9/11, which works with authentic audio recordings of the events of September 11, 2001. The concert will conclude with Elliot Sharp's latest song Feedback 21, which premiered in New York in March this year.

The Tribute to NYC concert, at the Archa Theatre on September 11, 2021, is held under the auspices of the US Embassy in Prague.
