This year’s V E K T R O S K O P takes us back to the 1980s. The decade of many technological and social changes, the decade which saw the advent of the MIDI standard (Musical Instrumental Digital Interface) but also the Chernobyl disaster that massively contributed to the collapse of the Soviet bloc.
On Sunday 19 June at V E K T R O S K O P J A M: inspired by William Gibson’s sci-fi novel NEUROMANCER (1984), group of authors will engage in a structured improvisation. "Writer" Josef Rauvolf, "philosopher" Dita Malečková and "engineer" Jan Tyl will analyze the cult text with the help of artificial intelligence.
The musical ensemble consists of Beata Hlavenková (keyboards), Ondřej Skala JTNB (midi guitar PYTHIA), Leoš Hort HRTL (modular) and Cyril Kaplan (brainwaves).
The robotic arm is programmed by Max Klimeš.
Set design and visuals by David Vrbík and Andrej Boleslavský.
The accompanying exhibition curated by Filip Kazda (Hybernská Gallery) will open in the Archa Theatre foyer.
