A concert with visual creations against a light background.

Indigenous Czech band Sváteční Pop (Holiday Pop) was born out of the union of hyperactive artists and musicians Petr Nikl, Milan Cais, Ondřej Smeykal and Jiři Hradil. Together they have created an exciting new performance language on the border of poetry, cabaret, ambient, solo folk and dance, all combined with audio-visual improvisation.

Sváteční Pop's concerts are highly popular events and are known for featuring unusual, sometimes bizarre, instruments and interesting audio-visual effects. "We use projections, sounds and visuals, whatever works," says Petr Nikl, who has collaborated with Archa since 1994, when he designed the sets and costumes for the theatre's very first project Opera La Serra. "Together we discover our musical potential and combine our various experiences."
